Plant Alchemy through the Seasons of the year 2025

Class Description:

Through the cycle of the year we will foster deep connection with the plant realm through art, medicine, tending ourselves and our gardens, and the cultivation of a variety of plants.   Each class will offer up hands on opportunities to work with plants and the beauty and magic they offer.  

These classes will begin around Spring Equinox 2025 and travel through the year to Spring Equinox of 2026.  Each season will offer up a specific plant to work with, and craft or medicine to make.  This series is for folks who are interested in learning more about plants, herbalism,  cultivation, or are interested and wanting to deepen their practices, or folks who have had some experience with plants and are seeking to deepen their relations with the plant realm. 

As a energetic practitioner, herbalist, sound healer, land steward, and teacher I offer up a unique way of working with the plants.  I hope to gift not only a hands on learning experience, but an accessible way to submerge yourself into the abundant wisdom and healing working with plants can offer to our body, mind, and spirit.  

Dates and Times:  Due to the fluctuations in weather and timing of plant harvest, dates & times for classes will be added and announced seasonally. Classes will be held on weekends-Saturday and/or Sunday Afternoons.  Below is a listing of potential topics we will cover during that season.  This page will be updated season to season, and more information will be offered in monthly newsletters as specific topics, dates, and times become available. In this course we will explore the following:

• Developing a deep connection with plants
• Making plant medicine-tinctures, teas, salves, steams, essences, infused oils, bath salts, oxymels, cordials, smoke, ritual, and craft.  We may explore other topics not listed depending on our class participants.  
• Growing your own herb garden
• Gathering plants
• Processing plants
• Drying and storage of plants
• Herbal self care
• Attuning to the landscape and developing connections with the elements
• Herbalism through the cycle of the seasons
• Plant dyes and eco printing with leaf and flower
• Permaculture and regenerative design practices using medicinal herbs, fiber art plants-dye/basketry, culinary herbs, and food.
• Plant meditations and how to build an altar
• Exploring the energies of the cycles of the year and how the plants express themselves as well as how we connect to the greater landscape around us
• Plant attunement and meditation practices
• Magical and energetic properties of plants

What you will receive as a participant:

• Guidance in attuning to the plant realm
• Plant walks, identification, and learning medicinal,  fiber, and beneficial garden usage of plants
• Making plant medicine through the cycle of the seasons
• A connected container of friends to share passion and love for plants and the landscape together
• Understanding the cycles of the seasons and how our bodies and the landscape mirror one another and thus the Earth offers us gifts within each season to explore.
• Personalized guidance in your own relationship to the plant realm through an hour long, one on one divination reading or healing session with Angel.
• Necessary tools-oils, alcohol, plant material, etc-to make small batches of plant medicine.
• Learning drying, storage, processing, gathering practices of a variety of medicines.
• Seeds and propagation material for your own home garden.
• Sound baths and plant meditations

Location:

Classes will be held in a variety of places.  

• Angel’s Home and Forest Sanctuary in Hood River
• Various Outdoor Locations in the Gorge for Plant Walks

Cost:

$50-$100 per class. Cost of classes is dependent upon materials and class length.  

How to register:

• Registration will be on a class by class basis, and pre-registration is required so materials can be sourced for each participant.  If you are interested in learning more, or have specific questions please fill out the form below and I will be in touch with more information about registration.  

Cancellations:

Registrant cancellations made 1 week or more in advance of the event date will receive a 100% refund.

For registrant cancellations made less than 1 week before the event, but more than 24 hours before the event, we can offer you a credit towards a future class to be used within 6 months, but we do not offer refunds.

For registrant cancellations occurring 24 hours or less before the class (or in the instance of your not showing up to the class) you will lose the payment for the class.

If you are unable to attend you can give your spot to a friend, but the same refund and credit policy for your payment applies.

Class Cancellation and/or Rescheduling Policy for Extreme Weather 

In the event of extreme weather, or unusual events that make it necessary for class cancellation in the interests of registrant and instructor safety (including but not limited to snow and or ice storms, flooding, extreme winds, wildfires, or an environmental disaster) we will attempt to reschedule the class and/or offer make-up days to registrants. If it is not possible to find a suitable alternative date for a registrant within 60 days, class tuition and any materials fees will be 100% refunded.

Description

Connecting with the beauty of flowers can be a key to enchantment and desire. In this workshop we will welcome the fiery energy of Beltane by honoring the blossoming of beauty and pleasure as it awakens in the sweet blooms of flowers and all their unique medicine. You will learn about the art of making essences of flower, place, gem, and stone. You will learn how to intake and apply these essences for therapeutic purposes and leave with your own unique essence. Afterwards you will be rejuvenated by the sounds of singing bowls, gong, flute, chimes, and drum and Reiki healing energies.
